After graduating in Political Science, Marie Gutmann spent several years working for a major international press group before becoming an audio-visual attaché at the French embassy in Morocco.
She created Méroé films in 2004 with the aim of providing assistance to new up-and-coming talents and to bring together people from strong yet unique backgrounds, often starting out on their first venture.
She is also a member of several film support bodies and regularly gives lectures at film schools, in France and abroad.
In 2007, after several years of production management, Pierre-Yves Jourdain began producing short films at Kaléo Films before moving to bathysphere productions from 2010 to 2013.
While he is heavily involved in collective ventures, he now also develops eclectic and cosmopolitan projects with the aim of producing authors rather than films.
Emanuela Righi has regularly collaborated with Méroé Films as a production assistant since November 2011.
She spent many years working in post-production at a large French laboratory and was also the administrator of a performing arts company.
Méroé films is a founding member of the employer’s alliance Mezzanine Admin.
Mezzanine Admin has the two-fold objective of supporting Independent Cinema and the performing arts, while remaining attentive to the creation of sustainable jobs by facilitating job-sharing for all its employees, who all occupy permanent full-time positions.
