12-year-old Maloï is a young boy left to fend for himself in a small Ukrainian town. He dreams of earning enough money to start a new life elsewhere with his older brother, the only person who really counts for him. Luck seems to be on his side; when wandering through the forest one day, he stumbles upon an abandoned World War II tank containing the remains of a German officer.
The news quickly spreads throughout the small town, arousing a great deal of interest. Everyone wants to get their hands on this “treasure”.
